Why is it so important to attend our soccer speed camps?
~ The Soccer Speed Reality Check ~ In Soccer there are 2 Types of Running 1) Running with the Ball and 2) Running without the Ball. Simple and straight forward info right? Well look at this statistic: 1) Running With the Ball - A player runs with the ball 1%-3% of the game. ONLY 1% - 3%! 2) Running without the ball in a soccer game consists of 97-99% of the Game! ... 97% -vs- 3% ... Where is there room for the most improvement? Where do you think the biggest increase in effectiveness is going to start? That's right, with the 97%. This is what we do, we build faster soccer players off the ball as well as with the ball. The biggest gains in improvement will of course be in the 97% area because there is more room for improvement , more opportunity for success and therefore much more Accomplishment, much more Confidence and lots more Achievement experienced for each athlete. Well wht's more important, running with ball or running without? The anser is BOTH! They are both important. When you have the ball I'd say that running with the ball is the most important thing one the field - that is if YOU are the player with the ball. But, if you are all of the other players at that moment, running without the ball is more important. And, in these moments, Running with Speed that is controlled, focused and anticipatory is the most important attribute you can have as a soccer player. Our camps are designed to build these qualities in our players. If you want to give your kids the best chance to enjoy and excell in soccer you must develop their soccer speed off the ball. You can see just by the statistics alone, they will get better if you focus on the area of largest potential improvement. Running with Speed that is controlled, focused and anticipatory is the most important attribute you can possess as a soccer player.
